Discounts, Affiliate Links & Gear I Actually Stand Behind
This page is where I keep a running list of the companies, vendors, and brands that I personally support, use, review, or work with through affiliate programs and brand partnerships.
The goal here is simple: if I am going to point you toward a product, vendor, or discount code, it needs to be something I am comfortable putting the N1JUR name behind. Sometimes that is because the product works well in the field. Sometimes it is because the customer service is solid. Sometimes it is because the company supports the ham radio community in a way that matters.
Mad Dog Coils
Mad Dog Coils is known for rugged, practical antenna solutions built for operators who actually get outside and use their gear. Their coils and antenna systems fit right into the world of POTA, portable operating, vehicle-based setups, and field radio work where durability matters.
I support Mad Dog Coils because they build gear for real operators, not a just pretty product photos. If you are looking for portable antenna options that can take a little field abuse and keep making RF happen, they are worth checking out.
Reliance Antennas
Reliance Antennas builds portable antenna systems that are right at home in the POTA and field radio world. From compact deployment options to antennas designed for real-world portable operating, Reliance has become one of those companies I am happy to keep in the rotation.
I stand behind Reliance because their gear has proven useful for operators who want to get on the air without turning every activation into a three-ring circus. Good support, practical designs, and antennas that fit the way a lot of us actually operate.
SpoolTennas
SpoolTennas focuses on compact, portable antenna solutions that make a lot of sense for operators who want simple deployment, clean packing, and gear that does not turn the back of the truck into a wire salad.
I support SpoolTennas because they solve a very real portable radio problem: getting an antenna into the field, getting it deployed quickly, and getting on the air without needing a full engineering department and three cups of coffee.
Seeed Studio
Seeed Studio is a great fit for the experimenter side of amateur radio. Whether you are messing with Meshtastic, sensors, microcontrollers, LoRa, project boards, or weird little boxes that somehow become useful in the shack, Seeed Studio has a lot to offer.
I support Seeed Studio because ham radio is not just about buying finished gear. Sometimes the fun is in building, tinkering, testing, breaking it, fixing it, and then pretending that was the plan the whole time.
Radioddity
Radioddity offers a wide range of radios and accessories for operators who want to explore VHF, UHF, GMRS, mobile radios, handhelds, and other practical communication gear without always needing to take out a second mortgage.
I support Radioddity because they provide accessible gear that can help new operators get started and experienced operators test out different setups. It is a good option for folks building out a kit, experimenting with mobile installs, or adding practical radios to the bench.
A quick note about affiliate links and brand deals
I may earn a commission, receive products for review, or have a brand relationship with some of the companies listed on this page. That said, I do not list vendors here just because they have a link or a promo code. These are companies I am comfortable pointing the N1JUR community toward because I believe they bring value through their products, support, customer service, or commitment to the amateur radio community.
